biography:

jonathan garr - visual artist

 

born and raised in london, england.

 

upon finishing studies -  initially worked for publishing houses and received commissions from the uk associated press; produced visuals and illustrations for educational purposes and editorial magazines. 

 

after further study at the royal academy of dramatic art -  began working freelance in the scenic art studios of, and on stage at, theatre companies such as the royal opera house, the royal national theatre, the coliseum (e.n.o.), regent`s park open air theatre and the hammersmith lyric theatre - then trained to teach and headed for the far-east, where, for several years taught visual art at high school academies in both japan and china.

 

currently residing and working in the far-east.​​
